Component Three:
Communication for Instruction

Choose two or more examples or use some of your own to demonstrate mastery of related objectives:

Artifact 1

The usage of e-mail has proven to be an invaluable resource for me as a classroom teacher. Not only are students be able to "anonymously" ask questions, they're also able to inquire about homework problems, missing assignments, or upcoming projects. In this example, a student inquired about information regarding the Math Team, which I co-sponsor.

Artifact 2

As a class assignment in my Advanced Web Design course, the students were responsible for creating a survey that can be answered in a form format. This survey was emailed to different teachers at our school, and the results were submitted back to the students via email. This artifact is one such survey and its results.

Click on the image to view the survey at full size.

Below, you will find a sample of one of the actual responses one of the student's received as a result of sending out his survey via his own webpage. The results from the survey were emailed back to the student vis-a-vis the form, using a cgi-script. The student will use the responses from the survey as a guideline for designing this teacher's website.
